China Gas leak and Iran Earthquake
in Mene-Tekel-Peres Bible Code?
Part one of three parts (-1-) (-2-) (-3-)
Update: Another earthquake has occurred (Feb. 22, 2005) in the mountains of Iran, not far from where the city of Bam was struck a little over a year ago, (Dec. 26, 2003). About 600 have died in this latest quake. What is significant about this quake is its timing: It occurred exactly 1260 days after the fall of the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001, which shook the ground at that time also. And the quake was also 1260 x 1000 days (360-cal.) from Moses on shaking Mount Sinai, (on the 7th day, Ex. 24:12-18). (See also the Earthquake/Tsunami of Dec. 26, 2004, wherein 300,000 perished. Importantly, the tsunami occurred 1260 x 1000 days from the exodus [and last plague upon Egypt]! The tsunami was also accompanied by heavenly signs.
The number '1260' is from the book of Revelation. The '1260' was discussed already a few year ago in relation to the fall of the Twin Towers. (Click here for that article and how the 1260 related.) This means that for several years now I have been anticipating something to likely occur on Feb. 22, 2005 that somehow relates to the mene-tekel code or the Twin Towers. (Also see 430 x 4 days ago and the writing-on-the-wall hand-bible code, Ezek. 4. Also see 1150 days (Daniel 8) from the fall of the Twin Towers until Yasser Arafat's death in keeping with Jacob's acrostic prophecy.)
While I do not believe that this latest quake is as significant an event as the tsunami, yet the timing of it, coupled with President Bush's visit to Europe means that we should not overlook it either.
What is the connection of the earthquake in Iran with 9/11?
The mene-tekel bible code and the hand-code predicted that Iraq (former Babylon) would be attacked. Moreover, the code mentions Iran by name, (former Persia). The code indirectly links the fall of the Twin Towers with the war on Iraq in 2003. (Bush insists that he went to war to fight terrorism in reaction to 9/11. Will Iran may be next?) In a way history is repeating itself: It is important to recall that it was Persia (ancient Iran) that conquered Babylon (ancient Iraq) on the night the hand appeared writing on the wall, (i.e., the mene-tekel code, 539 BC, Daniel 5).
President Bush also 'happened' to be in Europe at the time of the Iran earthquake and 'coincidently' was discussing Iran and its dangerous nuclear plans! He declared to his European allies on the very day of the quake (Feb. 22nd) that he would not attack Iran as rumored. (We will have to watch and see!) He also spoke about Russia as being in danger of reverting back to totalitarianism, (see Jacob's acrostic prophecy.) And he spoke against European plans to sell weapons to China. (China is also mentioned in the mene-tekel code.) The bible declares that Russia, Iraq, 'Cush' and a few other nations will attack Israel in a last-day war. Evidently, nuclear weapons will be used, (Ezekiel 38-39). The Iran earthquake is thus a warning of this war to come. Note the earthquake associated with this coming war in the prophecy of Ezekiel. The mountain-quake, coupled with the Presidents statements made on the European tour, are a subtle but ominous sign of this approaching war. This sign would largely be unintelligible were it not for the uncanny timing of the quake and the forewarnings from the codes as elucidated by bible prophecy.
(Ezekiel 38:17-23) "Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Art thou he of whom I spake in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, that prophesied in those days for many years that I would bring thee against them? And it shall come to pass in that day, when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, that my wrath shall come up into my nostrils. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; so that the fishes of the sea, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him unto all my mountains, saith the Lord Jehovah: every man's sword shall be against his brother. And with pestilence and with blood will I enter into judgment with him; and I will rain upon him, and upon his hordes, and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. (Atomic warfare?) And I will magnify myself, and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations; and they shall know that I am Jehovah."
Parallels between the early-morning Iran Earthquake and the Mene-tekel code:
The code addresses "Persia," which is ancient Iran---the country where the quake occurred.
Mentions that Jesus is "afflicted"---"broken asunder"---language also fitting for an earthquake.
"I will sleep the sleep of death,"---the quake killed the people as they slept.
Bam's ancient and famous citadel was demolished. A fitting parallel to the citadel of Zion that fell to the Babylonians in 586 BC. (The code is initially placed in this context---the writing on the wall occurred the night Babylon fell to the Persians. Babylon was judged for what it did to Jerusalem [Zion].)
Iran's hostility toward Israel remains unabated. They will receive earthquake relief from every nation in the world other than Israel! (Implicit throughout the code is the concept that all will be judged according to how they treated Israel, just as Babylon was judged according to how it treated Israel, and more specifically, how they respond to the message of the cross.)

This is an excerpt from the mene-tekel bible code. Though earthquakes are common in Iran (ancient Persia), yet, because of the steady sequence of fulfillment of this bible code over the past few months, I personally do not believe that the quake is a coincidence. As a matter of fact, I was writing the previous update about the code last night even as the quake was occurring. The quake occurred Dec. 25, 9 p.m. EST, (Dec. 26, 5:30 a.m. local time), killing between 20,000 to 40,000, and destroying 80% of this ancient city, including its world renown fortress. (See first anniversary of Iran quake one year later almost to the hour, and quake/Tsunami wherein 150,000 die.)
God does not delight in men's pain, but on the contrary, in the code He is personally identifying with them in their misery---by the like affliction of Jesus Christ on the cross. As a matter of fact, there was a earthquake when He died on the cross---and again at His resurrection 3 days later, (Matt. 27:54; 28:2). Interestingly, the Los Angeles/San Francisco earthquake occurred 3 days before the Iran earthquake, and also that evening there was a horrific gas explosion that killed 200 people in China. The code also implies ' 3 days' since it refers to the death and resurrection of Jesus, which was 3 days apart. The code addresses Iran (Persia) and China by name in language that fits well with their calamity. Even though the code is evidently talking in figurative language, such as, "he will blind their eyes," yet, this is literally what happened in the gas leak in China, for example---their eyes were temporarily blinded by the gas, "sealed shut"---as the newspapers called it. It is evident by the code that Jesus is identifying himself with their suffering and is pleading with China and Iran to believe the sign of the code that points to the cross of Jesus.
The code links Persia (Iran) with China. (See commentary below for further details, written several months before these calamities.) Interestingly, the city of Bam devastated by this earthquake was part of the ancient and famous "silk road" trading route that linked China and Iran.
In the code, Iran and China are called to witnesses to the fact that the death of Saddam Hussein is opposite to that of Jesus Christ, in that Saddam's is permanent but the death of Jesus was only temporary. Note that Iran perhaps more than any nation, wants justice served against Saddam for the million men it lost in the needless war Saddam instigated. The immediate context of the mene-tekel code is that of a contrast between Belshazzar (king of Babylon) with the prophet Daniel, with Persia (Iran) the executor of Belshazzar (Daniel 5)---now, in like pattern, the contrast is again made between Saddam and Jesus, with Jesus the executor of Saddam.

Saddam of Iraq (ancient Babylon). Similarities include:

The code throughout makes it clear that Saddam as king of Babylon (Iraq) will be found and executed, (as were his sons).
10 days after Saddam was unearthed from his symbolic grave (for he was hiding in a grave-like hole), the China gas explosion occurred, 3 days later was the Iran earthquake.
The code declares that Jesus rose up from the grave to live forever, but Saddam has risen from the grave only to go to his second death---a type of the last-day judgment.

This is a remarkable prophecy:
It asks China and Persia, 'Where is Jesus, the one risen from the dead
who will put his enemy (Saddam) to death?'This question is answered; they will not be able to recognize Jesus
due to blindness of heart. Yet, in God's time, just as the Americans
eventually did find Saddam---(equipped with special night-seeing goggles)
---so the Chinese (and Iran) will one day see Him who was lifted up on
"the banner/pole" of the cross.Thus, the gas leak literally blinds the eyes of the villagers---temporarily.
As in the earthquake, so in this catastrophe---both occurred while they slept; "I will sleep the sleep of death..."
China is pictured as being in a state of total unbelief---referring to Jesus' resurrection as "myth". But their eyes will be opened! They will one day believe the good news:
"We will proclaim Him who disappeared.He slept, but then He appeared!
He slept, but then He appeared
in order to prove, O' China, that He did not die,
O' China, that He is not a myth!"
(Note the striking parallel poetry.)
It is significant that the code appears to be shifting to its final theme. Having essentially dealt with Iraq/Babylon and the ["lamp"] blackouts, the attention now shifts eastward from Babylon (Iraq) to Iran and China, 1290 days after the hand-code appeared, (see Daniel 12).
The code appears to be saying that San Francisco (America?) will be judicially darkened, but China (and Iran?) will receive the light of the gospel. (See the San Francisco blackout that occurred one week after the Saddam capture, and the sign of Edgar.) Recall how the Sodomites of Sodom were blinded by the two Angels the night Sodom was destroyed with fire and brimstone, (Genesis 19:11). They wearied themselves to find the door. America, repent and turn back to your God!

Below is what I original wrote about this portion of the mene tekel code several months ago:
"Peres":+
("Peres" can mean 'divided' or a coin called a 'half-mina,' worth 30 [or 25 shekels]---the price of Jesus' betrayal by Judas Iscariot. Or it can mean "Persia," the kingdom of the east that sacked Babylon. It also became a term denoting broken bread. Amazingly, all these meanings are used in the code!)
[One million perished in Babylon's (Iraq's) war with Persia (Iran), of which Saddam was solely responsible. Therefore, it is most significant that "Persia" is addressed in this section of the code. "O Persia, they afflicted me..." Moreover, the coins of the code amount to 1260 x 2 gerahs (i.e., 126 shekels), which is 7 x 360 days, etc. (See Revelation 11-18, where 1260 x 2 is also associated with Babylon in prophecy.). The writing on the wall occurred in the autumn of 539 BC, wherein Persia sacked Babylon. Now, 1260 x 2 years later (less two years) Babylon attacks Iran (ancient Persia) on Sept 22, 1980. The war lasts till Aug. 1988, at which time Saddam added to his crimes the murder of 180,000 of his own people. (1980-88 less 1260 x 2 years = 541- 533 BC.) This is part of a complex numerically design that also fits in with the very day of the death of Saddam's sons, but space does not permit the detailing of this now. We will reserve another article for the fascinating numeric of this code.]

["They afflicted..." Jesus was put to death by Rome (cryptically called Babylon in Revelation 17:5, 9. 'Babylon is a general type of the world.) 'Babylon' slew Jesus, but He did not perish, but simply "slumbered the sleep of death" for 3(½) days. "Sleep" is a term the bible reserves for the righteous that die. The violence of His death is here emphasized, i.e., "afflicted," "divided asunder," with the phrase "divided asunder" a play on words for "peres." "Peres," as a coin, was worth 30 Babylonian shekels, the price of Jesus betrayal by Judas Iscariot. (Or, it can be 25 Hebrew shekels.) Amazingly, the price of Saddam's betrayal is 25 million dollars, and that of his two sons was 30 million. Saddam and sons brutally afflicted the Persians and their own people again and again. This does not make Iran (Persia) innocent, but the aggressor in that war was Saddam alone; he acted on his own without even real council from his generals.]
Where is He who put him to death?

["Where is He who put him to death?" This is one of the key phrases in the code, and forms an acrostic using the first letter of the four words written on the wall, "mene, mene, tekel, uparsin." It is in contrast with the earlier question of, "Where is the speck of decay?" Peres can mean, 'broken bread', and the code calls Jesus 'manna'. The manna is what fed the Israelites in the desert 40 years, of which the Israelites often 'grumbled'. Thus, in the code, Jesus is the manna, but Saddam's son is but a speck of rottenness! The question therefore asks, 'Where is Jesus, the one that put Belshazzar and Saddam's sons to death? The answer comes as simply a statement of fact, 'He will blind their eyes from being able to find Him (Jesus), just as the eyes of the Americans were blinded 3½ months from finding Saddam and sons. However, the blindness referred to by Jesus is that spoken of many times in the bible as the judgment upon a hard heart that refuses to believe God's sign of Jesus Christ as Savior. John 12:40 declares: "He hath blinded their eyes, and he hardened their heart; Lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, And should turn, And I should heal them." Recall the opening lines of the code, "Truly, Truly this is the banner/cross/sign that heals them. Our oracle is a banner/cross/sign that brings healing." (See earlier comment about, "Shout aloud O mina, for the message will be carefully concealed.")]

[First Persia is addressed, then China: There is a progression eastward from Persia to China. Revelation 16:12 says: "And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river, the river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way might by made ready for the kings that come from the sunrising, (east)." Babylon was originally taken by the eastern country of Persia when they dried up the Euphrates the day the writing was on the wall in 539 BC, however, now it is China that is the threat. Many bible prophecy experts have suggested that China might indeed fulfill this future prophecy.

[The Lord Jesus will not sleep the death of Saddam's son, that is, the second death; or even to have his body suffer decay in the grave,
Act 13:34-35, "And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he hath spoken on this wise, I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David. Because he saith also in another psalm, Thou wilt not give Thy Holy One to see corruption."
Again, we have the contrast between Jesus and Saddam's son. Saddam's son, like Belshazzar on the night of his terror (Daniel 5:6), will ever be terrified---perishing forever for refusing the banner/sign of the cross. It is most remarkable, and biblical, that he perishes, not so much for the crimes he did against man, but for that committed against God by refusing His Christ.]

[We will pass over this quickly since it does not clearly pertain to Saddam and sons, and part of it is repetitive of earlier words. But though repetitive, it adds words that are important. For instance, wherein before the code said that, "They put a flawless One to the test---The 'Mina' of God!" And then later it read, " He perished because we were put to the test!" Now it reads, "They put God to the test!" Clearly, then, the "we " in "we were put to the test," refers to God the Father and His Son. Earlier it read, "Our oracle is a banner that brings healing."]
God is a banner, O' (doubting) Thomas!

[The day Jesus died, he bore on the cross the curse of sin. Whereas Saddam and sons were filled with and paid for their deserved curses, in contrast however, the spotless Lamb of God bore in Himself all curse.
"Thomas" is the doubting Thomas of the book of John. He doubted God just as the provision of manna was doubted by the Israelites when they came out of Egypt at Passover. He and the nations are offered proof that Jesus is who He says He is. Other elements in the life of Thomas are prophesied later in the code. Jesus offered Thomas His nail-scared hands for inspection as requested, as proof that Jesus had indeed risen from the dead, and that he was not seeing a spirit, (Jn. 20:24-31). "Thomas" represents all those "shut up" in fear, and in need of proof to believe. Admittedly, I, too, was a doubting Thomas!
Three names in a row are given to Jesus: Manna, a Lion, and a Mina! Manna and Mina have appeared throughout the code already. "Manna" represents Jesus as sustainer of life, and "Mina" as Redeemer from death to life, (since it was a large unit of money). "Lion" is symbolic of Him as a victorious King. Note Rev 5:5, which concerns the opening of the mysteries scroll containing the revelation of Jesus Christ. "And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof."]

["We will proclaim Him..." This, too, is the core message of the New Testament, and indeed of the whole bible.
His disappearing and then reappearing, refers to His death and resurrection. This is the same sort of riddle that Jesus gives of Himself as recorded in the book of John (16:16). "A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me." The code says that Jesus "did not die," it does not say that he did not "sleep;" this simply means that His death is not permanent like that of Saddam's sons. There is another contrast here of Saddam's sons to Christ. They disappeared, then reappeared only to die. (See Revelation 17:8 for the same negative contrasting of Christ's resurrection, where the beast of Babylon rises again!). Jesus disappeared, then reappeared resurrected. Notice the repetition of "reappear." Jesus appeared at the resurrection, and will appear again at His glorious second coming when China and all nations will bow before Him.)]

[First, to the followers of Jesus is proof offered that He is alive, (symbolized in "Thomas,") but now to the pagan nations. China is picked because of its future role in the fulfillment of prophecy, and because it is most unwilling to believe on Him, and that despite the vast underground church there. As the code accurately implies, the official government position in China concerning Jesus Christ is that He (and certainly His resurrection) is a myth.]
