Bible Codes:

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE WORDS

WHERE THE ELS LANDS

LESSON 4c

(Full text of Exodus 3-4 of the bible code)

(To 4a)

Firstly, I believe Moses is here a type of Messiah. We know that Yeshua, like Moses, came from another land and was taken into the human family. As it says in John 1:14a, 15a: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us... John (the Baptist) bare witness of Him."

Furthermore, God sent His Son in response to the prayers ("cries") of His people according to His predetermined council. This is the reason why the angel Gabriel came to Zechariah while he was offering up incense on the altar of incense as "the multitude stood outside praying" (Luke 1:10). Incense is always symbolic of prayer. Upon the 7th seal opened of the Book of Revelation, it says, "and the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God..." (Revelation 8:4). Gabriel announced that John the Baptist would be born to him and that John would come "in the power of Elijah" (Luke 1:17; same name as the bible code). Later at John's birth, Zechariah prophesied concerning Yeshua of whom John the Baptist was sent ahead to prepare the way for His coming…

Therefore, as Moses was sent to save His people from their slavery to Pharaoh, even so God sent Yeshua the Messiah to save His people from their sins in response to their cries, that "came up unto God" as "incense" (Ex.2: 23b; Luke 1:10,11). This agrees with what the angel said unto Joseph, the husband of the Virgin Mary: "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Yeshua (Yeshua): for He shall save his people from their sins." (Matt. 1:21)

As for the last verse (Ex. 3:5), I have strong support by the help of God through the numbers which, if the Lord wills, I will reveal later. The word "put off" ("loosen" in the N.T.) obviously shows the submission of Moses. More importantly, however, it declares the humiliation of Messiah. It symbolizes the disclosure of Yeshua as "the Son of Man." It is the revelation of the humiliation (symbolized in the feet) of the incarnate Son of God. Compare the following two passages carefully, both of which were recorded by the disciple John.

The revelation of the Scroll ("Book") is the revelation of God (particularly His justice) in Messiah. Therefore, the first passage (John 1) reveals chiefly the humiliation of Messiah whereas the second (Revelation 5) His glorification.

There are actually a great number of parallels between these two passages (John 1 and Revelation 5). Both have a 'John'. Both have the phrase, "Behold the Lamb". Both refer to the Lamb as "standing" either as, "among," or "in their midst". Both imply that it will be or has been slain. Both speak of the unworthiness of others to "loosen". We are told that John the Baptist did not know Messiah by sight and in the same way no one could "even look at the Scroll". Both record Him as being identified by the Spirit upon Him (symbolized by a dove in John 1:32 and by, "the seven Spirits of God" in Revelation 5:6).

It is clear, therefore, that these two passages (John 1 and Revelation 5) support each other and help interpret one other. {John 1, is also the same passage we used in the previous lesson to help interpret the actual names of the ELS, "Yeshua" and "Elijah".} Furthermore, these two passages, now in turn, help us in identifying the meaning of the word "put-off" as found at Exodus 3. As said before, the meaning of the word "put-off," in Ex. 3:5 symbolizes the revelation of the humiliation of Messiah as seen by this word ("put off") in relationship to Moses' sandals (and then compared to John 1). More than this however, it also speaks of the revelation of the glorified Messiah as seen by this word in relationship to the actual burning bush (and then compared to Revelation 5). That is, the burning bush is the revelation of Messiah as a consuming fire, once the "putting off" or "loosening" of the seal has occurred.

This brings us to the close of our examination of the particular words where this Bible code falls upon. It is of interest to note that all seven of these highlighted words are found clustered together in the Book of Revelation around the scene where the Lamb opens the seventh seal. I only now have noticed them and I highlight them for you. All of them can be found in the middle two verses. I include the other verses for context.

Remember that the Scroll of the lamb (as with any scroll) cannot be opened until all the seals are opened. Therefore, this 7th seal actually allows the Scroll (and thus the revelation of Messiah) to be read. Since the word "Moses" (Ex. 2:21) is found in the context of him "dwelling" with foreigners, here we substitute the word "Moses" for "dwell." However, in a very similar verse found in Revelation 15:3, the name "Moses" is specifically named. Moreover, the context of chapter 7 has as its topic the "144,000 witnesses" (which compare to the "Two Witnesses" of our ELS) where "12,000" from each tribe of Israel are listed (12 x 12,000). Is this not an interesting parallel to our ELS code (6 x 120 letters while using "seven" words)? Notice also that God told Abraham that the Israelites would "be in a land (Egypt) not there own, and they shall afflict them 400 years" (400 x 360 = 144,000. Genesis 15:13 and compare with Revelation 7:14 found here below).

Next we examine the actual numbers of this bible code is relationship to the whole of the revelation of the numbers.
