Bible Codes:

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE WORDS

WHERE THE ELS LANDS

LESSON 4a

(The following document, while useful,
is nevertheless superceded by the above site.)

(Full text of Exodus 3-4 of the bible code)

{Click here for viewing the bible code matrix, and related slides in a simplified format. The additional name of "I AM" of the burning bush, (alongside the first "Yeshua"), was not noticed till after the detailed essays were written. It does not alter this document but instead enhances it greatly.}

Since God is all wise and powerful, everything down to the minutest detail has a purpose, although "no one can comprehend what goes on under the sun" (Eccl. 8:17). This is especially true of His Word. Yeshua declared:

"I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." (Mat. 5:18)

Therefore, I believe that even the very words wherein this bible code  falls upon during its skipping sequence, has a rhyme and a reason for it. It is the glory of man to try to search it out.

"The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law." (Deut. 29:29)

Certain words, of course, are touched down upon as our bible code skips at 120-letter intervals. These words are likewise important. They serve to highlight key words in the text that may help us to interpret the names spelled out using the bible code (i.e. "Yeshua" & "Elijah," as discussed in the previous lesson). Moreover, we want to establish the fact that the ELS numbers and its related subject matter both testify as one concerning Messiah.

Our Yeshua bible code lands on 7 words during its 120-letter skips. {Incidentally, the name "Yeshua" is found at a 120-letter sequence, 7 times forward and also 7 times backward, within the Pentateuch.} The central letters used forwards and backwards in order to spell Yeshua twice, is the Hebrew letter "ayin". {This letter has a gematria of 70. The total gematria for this bible code is 702}. This letter is the axis or center of the bible code, with the previous 360 letters (120 x 3) spelling Yeshua in a normal forwards manner and the next 360 letters spelling Yeshua backwards. The word that the letter "ayin" falls upon is the word "kept" (KJV) or "tending" (NIV).

"Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God." (Ex. 3:1)

The Hebrew for this word is "ra'ah" (three letters in Hebrew, "r - a - ah"). It means, "to shepherd a flock". The Hebrew letter "ayin," falls in the middle of this three letters word "ra'ah" (here highlighted in red).

Note also that the phrase, "Moses was tending the flock" is the axis phrase upon which the narrative of the story changes from Moses first and second 40 year periods of his life, unto his final 40 years (Acts 7:30). This forms a three generation pattern of 40 x 3 = 120 years. Hence, the center of the bible code lands on the center of a Messianic key word (studied next) "ra 'ah," which is also central in the narrative of the life of Moses and the nation of Israel. In Lesson 5, we examine its numerical centricity.

The word for "tending" or "shepherding" ("ra'ah"), is an essential word for identifying the work and character of Messiah.

"Ra'ah" ("tending") is used about 200 times in the Old Testament. The last 13 of these are found at the end of the book of Zechariah. Let us recall that in our previous study, we saw that the "Two Witnesses" of Revelation 11, are derived from the book of Zechariah. The word "ra'ah" is found in Zechariah 13:7 (here translated "shepherd"). It is the last two times it is used in the O.T. This same verse is quoted in the N. T. as a prophecy about the death of Messiah and the scattering of His disciples (Matt. 26:31, Mark 14:17):

"Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones."

The point of this is to show that the Messiah "Yeshua" is directly associated prophetically with this central word of the bible code. Yeshua said, "I am the good shepherd that lays down his life for the sheep" (John 10:11). Numerous passages from the New and Old Testaments can be cited that show Messiah, as shepherd, to be a central theme in the life and teachings of Messiah.
